Disseny per a la inclusió. El procés com a resultat is presented as a new learning and co-creation project between students from different design universities and groups in vulnerable situations. An initiative promoted by the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona and the Associació Ojalá Projects that aims to generate contexts of interaction, awareness, integration and debate using design methodologies for community empowerment.
In Athens, the migratory phenomenon is an unstoppable reality. It is important to rethink the vision we have and take sides. That’s why we decided to do a creative immersion in one of the epicenters of the problem: Exarchia. This is where the documentary “Re-creant el Refugi” was born, a sample of the development of the projects that students of communication, theater and the Ojalá Projects team did with the residents of the different centers that welcome refugees.
Re-Pensant el Refugi arises from the commitment of a group of ELISAVA students from different design disciplines who traveled to Greece to guide their final degree project. With the aim of using design as a tool for social transformation, the students investigated the reality of refugees and how to solve their needs through product design, design engineering and interaction.
Research work carried out by journalism students. Its aim is to publicize the situation of pregnant refugee women, many of whom have been raped in the migration process, through a documentary.
A project that talks about hope and the future made by refugees. They gave light and color on an extremely dark and hard situation between European borders.
The short film “The Boxing Squatters” has been developed in the 5th School, the most relevant squat within the network of self-managed buildings. The center, like most squats, is located in the Exarchia neighborhood, in the facilities of an old school. Thousands of people have passed through its doors in the last three years.
